Handicaps shouldn't be viewed negatively, most major series have them. It's a way to make more bikes competitive. MotoGP gives slower bikes concessions, more testing, in-season engine development. I agree that the current handicap system isn't broken and should be left as-is. It doesn't make any sense that a P4-F2 bike is as good a racebike as a P5-F2 and should be scored equally.
Team On The Verge is not opposed to this proposal but we're not going to bother planning for it. We're not that serious. If the bike expires early, we'll pack up and crack our beer a bit earlier
