you could contact Paul Whittaker (search members), he has plans available for the bikes he built. They were very good, and won many championships. Most used XS650 engines.

Anything else would have been automotive based - IMP / Honda / Mini, I would think. Z1 was 73, and the next 4 cyl after the CB750. CRMC limits the CB750 to 836cc.

I've asked the same question Miles.

The early 4 cylinder bikes also ran 10 & 13" rims (treaded tires), so they are really front exit P3's. The current P3 rules allow a CB750 based front exit bike on 13" treads. I've got a trick 1030 kit for one.

Stan Dibben is probably one of the greatest ambassadors for sidecar racing. He was responsible for bringing NGK plugs to the UK. If you can find a copy his book 'Hang On' it's a great read.
