this year in sidecars.

Postby chairman » Mon Jan 09, 2012 7:33 pm

now the big show is over, its a new year, the bull has been shot. so who is doing what and when. I am considering running my big wheel at a couple of meets - maybe . my engine is getting attention and hopefully I wont be cannon fodder for you guys . P1 or P2 thats the question, have never ran a bigger motor than a 650. speed actually scares me, guess thats why I stick to small stuff.actually I am cheap

I'll chime in. Just heard from Karen, and it's now official; I'm VRRA member #1507. :D Next up is to mail my school form off to Dave. The plan is to P/U the rig I'm purchasing from Rob Verrier (x-Brama P2) this weekend. Did manage to get what's left of the spare motor retrived from Toivo today. I'll build it into a 750 later, if the current 650 doesn't scare me to bad. The new tires are ordered, and waiting at Britain West. Figure their the last thing that needs to go on; so I'll probably arrange to retrieve them from David at the 1st CASC Regional. I've been trying to find some heated work space so I can start the rebuild, but no luck so far. Worst case I'll stick the electric heater in the trailer. Once its apart, I'll do a check for frame cracks, and decide if any repairs or mods are needed. Then it will be on to an engine refresh. Never been inside an XS. But its got two less cylinders than my 550 & VF, so there's less parts to have left over.
