10" tires

Postby paul whittaker » Wed Sep 30, 2009 8:51 pm

having no success in Ontario obtaining 10" tires used with the Mini wheels for the sidecar, I turned again to Quebec. a year ago I bought 2 Kuhmo tires from Talon Tire. these are no longer available but they still have Falken 145/80/10" for 80.00 each plus tax and shipping. I bought two but will let one go if some one needs it. Paul.

If Jan and I had NASCAR'ed (blistered) our chair wheel like the pair of you did I'd be in like a shot. Get rid of that brake or fix the toe. Oh wait, you won just about everything. Never mind! :)

You do bring up a point though... we may need to pick up some stock if we're going to keep using the wheels.

Thanks for the heads up!

Hi Mal, the tire you saw had 3 years use on it, the one s last year went on other rigs. Its the roll under which makes it look like the alignment it out, and that is with 35-40lbs in it. With 1" frame clearance the inside of the tire still rubs the paint off. I do not have all the answers. Paul.

Hello John, thanks for the contact. I used to get wheels etc from "Miniman" in Carp but they are long gone. Even the old mini's changed to 12" wheels early on so 10's are hard to find. Paul.

I have a client that's a mini enthusiast. In fact he gave me a spare 10" rim. I will ask him if he has a lead on tires.

Paul, and anyone else looking for these wheels/tires

This is the source I used for a spare rim and the tire I'm currently using. Occasionally they have single blem rims for sale for a good price-pays to check in periodically. If customs is a problem you can get stuff shipped to me.
