Thank you for the kind words. I'm having a ton of fun with this build. I really want to stick with racing a single, so the motivation to do it right is very high. But I'm still sticking with the "Free or in the Garbage" racing theme...

Now it's time to run this puppy up to JPrecision and have them do their MAGIC !!!! 8)

P.S. They do work for racers all over North America, check 'em out .....

I'm in "purchase mode" and have not worked on the bike much. Too much time on the Net looking for the best deals on pistons, cams and gaskets...Will be installing my bellypan this weekend, so will have those pics to post soon. Cheers, Brian.

Well, ordered my piston, exhaust wrap and sprockets today from DeshaiesMoto...Now to get that bellypan on for the Qc show in 4 days...

P.S. JPrecision is doing the valve job with the brand new valves I brought them....Can't wait!

Bellypan and front brake installed for the Qc city Motorcycle show...The Sr500 front brake caliper was seized like nothing I've seen before...Tried everything, but the piston won't budge!!! :? Had to dig through my junk and rebuild and mount an old Suzuki one with hand made bracket (this is just for the show so it can be loaded and unloaded with a front brake)...Even did a quicky on the bellypan as BrianD needs to pick up the bike Wednesday evening for it to make it to the show on Thursday evening!!!   But, with all that said, it gives me a pretty good idea of what everything will look like for May 31st !!!!!

Brake is funny on this front end, but it's good enough for the show...

All in all, very pleased with the look and feel of the bike. After the Montreal show, i'll do a complete tear down, paint the frame and replace all the bearings and bushings...Plenty of time before May 31st...

That oil pan looks pretty heavy-duty Brian. Looking good! Should be a fun ride....

Looks great Brian!

2 things:

1: You're going to change that muffler strap/hanger right? I have one here that might work if you need one, FREE. Just measure it up for me.

2: I think you could have used more rivets in your belly pan.

Can't wait to see another thumper out there.

I have two (count them, two) Yoshimura RS-3 hangers in St-Lazare....I have to pick them up, but it's so bloody far that I keep trying to bump into my buddy who has them when he's closer...Has not happened yet and BrianD needs the bike Wednesday night...Looks like the plumber's strap is going to Quebec City!!!!     Might even visit the "Hotel Dieu Hospital" while I'm there to say hi to the wonderful staff that took such good care of me! :D I'll make sure the Yosh strap is on there for the Montreal show, promise!!!

P.S. Rivets you say! We don need no stinkin' rivets !!!!!!!!    Isn't Canadian Tire one of our sponsors....

Thanks for the compliments,gents! :D
