Middleweight Production RD400

Postby etcheh » Thu Jan 31, 2013 8:44 am

I tried selling my RD that I restored in the 90's and rode on the street for a couple of years, but no one was interested. SO! I'm converting it to a racer and it will probably be up for sale this spring. Follow the build here on the site.

Yes indeed, bring on your RD. Let's grow this class too, the more the merrier, plus the race fans relate to these street weapons!
Which way'd they go?

Just going over the motor and noticed a squeaked mag side piston. Ordered a new PRO X piston kit 1.25mm o/s. The clutch side is in great shape so it will stay at 0.75mm o/s. Also ordered an MZB power dynamo race ignition, magura front master cylinder and a few other goodies. It should be done by the end of March, early April. Chambers are at the Powdercoaters for black ceramic coating. Carbs to be jetted and ready to rock.New HEIDENAU race rubber as well. This thing has dowelled heads, little bit of squish .028, Barnett clutch kit, bronze swingarm bushings, tapered steering bearings ,new brake seal kits, clubman bars( more weight over the front wheel and wider grip for gettin in them corners),S/S front brake line. Y boot with K&N filter, Motor otherwise is stock,no porting. Things are coming together, I'm getting essited. Also doing a P1 350 racer.
